Kasargod: Manjeshwar police confiscate 18 kg ganja from scooter in accident

Kasaragod, Nov 18: The Manjeshwar station police have confiscated 18 kg ganja from a scooter that met with an accident and arrested a Tamil Nadu-based youth in this connection.

The arrested is Anthony Raju (26), a resident of Tiruvallur.

The scooter turned turtle and fell while overtaking another vehicle at Uppala on Thursday night. The local people who rushed to the spot, saw ganja stuffed in sacks which were being carried on the scooter. The police who arrived, confiscated the scooter and ganja and arrested the accused.

The suspect reportedly said during the questioning that the ganja was handed over to him by Hosangadi resident U Kiran to be smuggled to Calicut.

    Please note "Scooter in accident". So this is happening extensively. We have no mechanism to check and eradicate this. And certain things cannot happen without high handedness may be political / official level. Unfortunately youth are falling prey to this.

    Are you WhatsApp university? 2 people from Hyderabad got arrested and are in jail in Mundra druga case and drug came from Afghanistan. Going by your logic, if someone carries drugs in Indiara gandhi airport in Delhi, is Indira Gandhi responsible for that?!
