Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School organises sports meet for KG, primary sections

Mangaluru, Nov 19: Muscle your way to mindfulness. Mental alertness is possible only through physical agility let’s aim at a sound mind in a sound body. The thought was apt for the sports finale for the kindergarten and primary section.

Students though small in stature and age contemporaneously presented an array of mass drill and proved that they were as energetic as their seniors.
The masters of the ceremony, Heather, Siddarth, Zion and Purvi were at their best and enthralled the spectators with their voice modulated talks.

"Failure is the stepping stone for success, so students who have participated deserve appreciation from elders,” was the advice given by the chief guest of the event Dr Vijayalaxmi H Rai. She also stressed that sports is not about competition, it's about having fun and gaining energy to our body.

Dr John Baptist Saldanha congratulated little Lourdites for their best performance and asked the Lourdites to thank each other for making each other's day beautiful. The kindergarten and class five energetic lot, gave a spectacular ground display for a western composition.

Fr Robert Dsouza, principal Lourdes Central School, vice principals Belita Mascarenhas and Anita Thomas, Ptec vice president Dr Rashmi D'Souza were engrossed in distribution of medals and certificates to a cluster of students.

Anita Pinto and Thriveni Amin, the physical instructors of Lourdes Central School attracted the spectators with their welcome speech and vote of thanks.

The event came to an end with a short prayer to Mother of Lourdes, patroness of Lourdes Central School followed by the school anthem.
