Karkala: Woman gives birth to baby girl in govt 108 ambulance

Karkala, Nov 20: A woman who was having labour pain gave birth to a baby in the ambulance itself.

On November 18, at around 11 pm, Neelamma, a resident of Kalya of the taluk, was suffering from labour pain. As she was being taken from Kalya to a public hospital at Karkala, she gave birth to a baby girl on the way.

Ambulance staff EMT Rajshekhar and S K pilot Pundalik ensured safe delivery and got the mother and baby admitted to Karkala public hospital. Both are healthy as per information given by the doctor.
