Beltangady: Two injured in truck-goods vehicle collision, hospitalised

Beltangady, Nov 21: Two people got injured as the goods vehicle in which they were travelling collided with a truck near Laila Prasanna College on national highway.

Goods vehicle driver Vishwanath Gowda escaped with minor injuries. His wife Vasanathi and niece Kritika also suffered injuries. They were admitted to a private hospital.

The truck was moving from Hassan to Karkala and was laden with drainage pipes. The goods vehicle belonging to a private company was going from Mangaluru to Dharmasthala. The goods vehicle was badly damaged in the accident.

Traffic on the national highway got disrupted due to the accident for many hours. Beltangady traffic police arrived on the spot and controlled the traffic.
