Mangaluru, Nov 28: "The discipline learnt in school should be imbibed in students’ lives. Along with the academic syllabus, students should develop other hobbies," said Anshu Kumar Srivastav, the DCP law and order.
He was speaking at the Annual Day celebration of Lourdes Central School on Friday, November 25.
The DCP called upon students to cultivate hobbies in sports, arts, and cultural events. He also suggested students develop inquisitive minds and try to avoid using mobile phones.
Dr John Baptist Saldanha who presided over the event said, “After the pandemic, the school is celebrating its annual day with gaiety and fervour. In the school, every teacher is striving to bring a smile on every student's face. Without any discrimination, all are treated equally.”
Superintendent of police Rishikesh Sonawane, zilla panchayat CEO Dr Kumar, principal Fr Robert D'Souza, vice principals Belita Mascarenhas and Anita Tomas and others were present.
