Mangaluru: Kindergarten Annual Sports Day celebrated at St Aloysius Gonzaga School

Mangaluru, Dec 2: Kindergarten Annual Sports Day of St Aloysius Gonzaga School was held on November 30 in the Gonzaga Hall. In her address, the chief guest Nishel Delphina Dsouza, National Weight Lifter and Athlete, wished the students and encouraged them to participate in sports and when they grow up to try and win the prize at the National level.

She also opined that academics and sports both are equally important in a child’s life. The principal Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ said that little children should play and make formal sports as part of their life and it teaches how to win by following rules. The tiny tots performed a synchronized marchpast and display. They exhibited true sportsmanship by participating in all the fun-filled events.

Vice principal Laurel Dsouza, Kindergarten coordinator Aparna Suresh and Physical Education teacher Agnes Saldanha were present on this occasion. Luuth Nayaz Ibrahim of KG II-A welcomed the gathering. Anora Gia Fernandes of KG II-B highlighted the significance of the day. A vote of thanks was delivered by Ms Veronica Dsousa. Ms Averyl Rebello compered the programme.
