Puttur, Dec 3: Spandana K (II PCMB 'D') secured Gold medal and Sanvika (II PCMB 'D') secured Silver medal in Girls' category and in boys category Ranjith Kumar (II HEPS) secured Gold medal in the Karnataka State Weightlifting Championship - State Youth / Junior/ Senior Weight Lifting Championship( For Boys and Girls / Men and Women) under 40 and 102 kg category. The championship was organized jointly by Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College, (Autonomous) Ujire and Karnataka State weightlifter Association at Indraprastha Indoor Stadium, Ujire on November 27, 28 and 29.
The physical directors, Elias Pinto and Rajesh Mooliya, the coach Yogesh K K trained the students.
The correspondent, Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, the campus director of St Philomena Institutions, Fr Stany Pinto, the principal, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta and the staff members congratulated the students.
