Puttur: St Philomena PU College students win first place in yoga competition

Puttur, Dec 3: Thrupthi N (I PCMB 'A') of St Philomena PU College, Puttur capped her consistency and carried forward the momentum in winning the first place in State Level Pre University Yogasana sports meet organized by dept of Pre University Education held on November 16 and 17 at Haveri. Besides, she participated in the third Karnataka State Yogasana Sports Championship and secured the first prize in the junior category. The competition was organized by the Karnataka Yogasana Sports Association on November 19 and 21 at KGSS, Manasagangotri Residential School, Tidagundi, Vijayapura and is selected to the National Level.

She is the proud daughter of Aithappa Naika and Padmala Kumari. She is trained by her coach, Naveen B Keyyur, Elias Pinto and Rajesh Mooliya, physical directors of St Philomena PU College Puttur.

The correspondent, Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, the campus director of St Philomena Institutions, Fr Stany Pinto, the principal, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta and the staff members congratulated and wished her success in her future events.
