Mangaluru: Third day annual feast of St Joseph Vaz Shrine celebrated

Mangaluru, Dec 4: The third day of the annual feast of St Joseph Vaz Shrine was celebrated with great devotion on Sunday, December 4, at 10:00 am.

Fr Assisi Rebello, shrine rector parish pastoral council, Vice president Naveen Dsouza and the secretary Dr Irene Veigas along shrine committee and PPC members extended a solemn welcome to Dr Aloysius Paul Dsouza, Bishop Emeritus, Mangalore Diocese to the shrine.

The solemn Eucharist celebration of the third day of the annual feast of St Joseph Vaz Shrine Mudipu at 10:30 am was presided over by Dr Aloysius Paul Dsouza, Bishop Emeritus, Mangalore Diocese.

Fr Alban from Goa, Fr Santhosh Menezes Chaplain Snehalaya Manjeshwar, Fr Assisi Rebello, Shrine Rector Fr Rony Pinto, asst parish priest Mudipu and other priests concelebrated the Eucharist.

Many devotees took part in the festal celebration. All the pilgrims were given festal meals.

Fr Assisi Rebello, the parish priest thanked the devotees. Bishop honoured the donors with candles and blessed them for their generosity. Fr Vijay Machado, the director of Mangala Jyothi, compered the liturgical celebration.

The three-day annual feast of St Joseph Vaz was concluded with the solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by msgr Maxim L Noronha, vicar general of Mangalore diocese along with priests Benjamin Pinto, parish priest Urva, Fr Paul Sequeira, parish priest Vorkady and Fr Assisi Rebello, the parish priest and shrine rector concelebrated the eucharist.

The annual feast of St Joseph Vaz concluded by the lowering of the flag of St Joseph Vaz by Msgr Maxim L Noronha, the vicar general dioceses of Mangalore along with Fr Assisi Rebello, rector/ parish priest St Joseph Vaz Shrine Mudipu, Fr Ronald Pinto asst parish priest Mudipu Church, Naveen D’Souza vice president, Dr Irine Veigas secretary of PPC and shrine committee members, PPC members and devotees.
