Mangaluru, Dec 12: St Vincent De Paul (SVP) Society, Farla Unit organized a 'Magic Show’ based on Bible values on Sunday, December 11 at Our Lady of Vailankanni Church Hall, Farla.

The Magic Show was organized to support the SVP Central Health and Education Fund. Fr John Prakash Pereira, Fr Ivan Madtha, Fr Sunil Miranda, Preetha Lobo, Cyril Dsouza, Felix Dsilva, Cyprian Rodrigues, Naveen Menezes, Valerian Lasrado, Lancy Dsouza, Vincent Praveen Menezes were among those present. Fr Ivan Madtha, Fr John Prakash Pereira as well as Fr Sunil Miranda were facilitated on this occasion.

Fr Ivon Madtha is popularly known as Magic Father. He is also a well known cartoonist and a dynamic dancer. He met with a train accident in 2005 which changed his life. Doctors had declared him 85 percent disabled. But his will power was so strong that he overcame from his impairment. By a skillful magic he depicts the original sin to show how the humanity sinned against God.

Fr Ivan does evangelization through value and gospel based magic show in schools and colleges. He has received various awards including ‘Professor of Magic’ honour by Federation of all Christian Council of India, ‘Swabhiman Award’ By Daijiworld, Award for Excellence by Catholic peace conference of India.

The Magic Show was well supported by a huge number of sponsors who were also felicitated, and the organizers thanked all the sponsors for their generosity. On this occasion, SVP Farla Unit extended financial assistance to two needy families.

The Magic Show was a great success. The show was live streamed on YouTube which garnered great engagement and thousands of viewers enjoyed the Magic Show. Vincent Praveen Menezes, president of SVP, Farla Unit welcomed the gathering. Felix Dsilva gave a brief report of SVP Farla unit. Flexita Dsilva and Lorna Moros extended vote of thanks.
