Mangaluru, Dec 13: 'Shakthisangama,' a convention of BJP's various cells will be held on December 18 in Bengaluru," informed K Prathap Simha Nayak, MLC and state convener of Senior Citizen's Cell.
He was addressing a press meet here on Tuesday, December 13.
The Shakthisangama of 24 different cells of BJP will be held at Gayatri Vihar in Palace Grounds.
BJP workers from mandal, district and state committee convener, assistant conveners, district co-ordinators and others will take part in the convention, he added.
As many as 1,500 BJP workers from Dakshina Kannada will take part in the convention, he said.
The convention will be held under the leadership of state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel. The program will be inaugurated by minister of railways, communications and electronics and information technology minister Ashwini Vaishnav. Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai and former chief minister B S Yediyurappa will be present.
In the valedictory session, BJP's national organising general secretary B L Santhosh will be present.
Ravi Shankar Mijar, Narayana Gatti and Sandesh Shetty were present.
