Bengaluru, Dec 15: JD(S) legislature party leader H D Kumaraswamy has warned all prospective JD(S) candidates for the ensuing assembly polls that he will not hesitate to drop the inactive persons.

Addressing party legislators and prospective candidates for the assembly polls from all the 19 assembly seats in and around Bengaluru before proceeding with the Magadi leg of the Pancharatna Rath Yatra on Thursday, the former chief minister asked all party leaders to strive to win most of the 19 seats.

While appreciating the work of some of the most pro-active candidates, Kumaraswamy noted that some of the candidates were found adopting laid-back attitude and advised all to work for the success of the party.

Explaining the strategies followed by the national parties like BJP and Congress, the JD(S) leader said the party should do better than them.

"We will not hesitate to select able and efficient candidates by dropping some,’’ he said.

Kumaraswamy emphasized that the JD(S) was serious about its Mission 123 and form the government on its own. "All of us must put our best efforts. There is no point contesting for the sake of contesting if the persons are not serious,’’ he asserted.

State JD(S) President C M Ibrahim was also present.
