Belthangady: Anugraha Institution Celebrates Annual Day

Belthangady, Dec 16: “Security and Destiny of the Nation depends on Education" said Most Rev Dr Lawrence Mukkuzhy. He was speaking on the occasion of the Anuual Day celebration of Anugraha Educational Institutions, Ujire. It was held on December 16at the Anugraha Auditorium. The programme began with the school band welcoming and escorting the dignitaries to the auditorium.

The Correspondent Fr James D’souza welcomed the gathering. The anuual report was the highlight of the event where in all the events, achievements and activities of the academic year was mentioned. The annual report was presented by Fr Vijay Lobo.

 

State level participants of football Shravanya and Anshika of the 7th std and the National level participant of football Rosa Joy of VII std and other achievers were felicitated. Dr Ashwin Udayavar, Alumus of the institution was felicitated during the programme. The chief guest of the progrmme S L Bhoje Gowda, MLC, Government of Karnataka was not able to attend the programme due to some unavoidable circumstances. But he has sent message, wishing the programme all success.

Most Rev Dr Lawrence Mukkuzhy, who presided over the event said "Students should know the importance of agriculture. Parents and teachers should help the students to bring out their hidden talents.

Dr Ashwin Udyavar, the correspondent Fr James D’Souza, the principal Fr Vijay Lobo, Antony Fernandes, vice president of the parish pastoral council, Ananda Krishna, vice president of parents association, headmaster Ravi Kumar, Praveen Fernandes, member of Management Committee, student leaders Clitus Prajwal Quadras of II PUC, Shawn D’Souza of X std, Rosa Joy of 7 th std were present on stage.

Vinayalatha compered the programme. The formal programme ended with vote of thanks by Sr Sneha. The cultural programme began with a welcome dance followed by variety of other cultural programme.
