Usha Johri, 41, resident of Jeevan Park in east Delhi, sold her property in Janakpuri to several people. The accused told police that she committed the crime to fund her sons' education abroad.

Complainant Mayur Jain purchased the property in Janakpuri for Rs.1.64 crore from Usha and her son Yash Johri. But when he came to visit the place it was occupied by another family, a police officer said.

The family had been sold the same property by Usha. Police probe revealed that the house had been sold to five people.
