India Frees Four Pak Men Detained for Crossing Border


Lahore, May 24 (PTI) India has freed four Pakistani men who were detained for illegally crossing the border, officials said today.

The men, belonging to Shakargarh town of Narowal district, 80 km from Lahore, were handed over to the Pakistan Rangers.

The men ? Muhammad Shoaib, Muhammad Zohaib, Muhammad Aadil and Muhammad Aslam ? inadvertently crossed into India from Ikhlaspur village over a week ago.

The freed men told reporters that Indian security forces arrested them and took them to a check post, where they were interrogated for a few days.

They were then handed over to Pakistani security forces yesterday, they said.
