Mangalore, May 24: The electronics and communications department of St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) organized a farewell function for the outgoing students at Seminar Hall Academic block 1, here recently.

SJEC director Fr Valerian D’Souza, designate director Fr Joseph Lobo, principal Dr Joseph Gonsalves, academics dean Dr Rio D’Souza, planning and development dean Professor Eric Patrao, head of department in charge Professor Prajwal D’Souza and Professor Nithyanand were present at the dais.

Fr Valerian D’Souza wished the students well for the future and congratulated them as almost 80 percent of them are already placed in companies. 

Fr Joseph Lobo advised them to be performers, reformers and transformers.

Professor Nithyanand and Professor Prajwal D’Souza raised the toast.  They advised the students to be humble in their approach to life.
Floid Costa Sheena Dais replied to the toast.  They were happy that SJEC had excelled in all fields in a short tenure of ten years.  Later, the dignitaries on the dais distributed plaque to the outgoing students.

Professor Veena Devi welcomed the gathering.  Professor Daya Naik proposed vote of thanks.  Professor Shovita Shettian compered the programme.
