Mangaluru, Dec 24: After the grand success of one day package tours that were conducted by the KSRTC division of the city, the division is mulling to hold two days of special package tour to Goa and day-long tour to Kerala.
Giving details, Rajesh Shetty, divisional controller of KSRTC Mangaluru said, “We are working on two-day package tour to Goa during Christmas holidays. We are in search for cheap and best accommodation with food facility. After the lodging is finalized, dates will be announced. According to the plan, the bus will leave Mangaluru on Friday and before returning to Mangaluru, the passengers will be taken to South and North Goa on Saturday.
“Passengers will be taken to Rajarajeshwara temple of Taliparamba, Madayi Kavu temple of Kanhangad and Bekal fort and return in the evening. The division is also mulling to begin a package for locals including Kadalakere, Salumarada Timmakka Tree park and Padubidri Blue flag beach.
“Towards Puttur Gejjegiri, Hanumagiri, Vittal Panchalingeshwara temple, Mritunjeshwara temple, Puttur Mahalingeshwara temple, Madikeri package Abbey Falls, Raja Seat, Harangi, Nisargadhama and Golden temple package will be introduced during holidays.
“In Mangaluru-Kollur tour package, Kollur Mookambika temple, Maranakatte Mahalingeshwara temple, Kamalashile Durgaparameshwari temple and Ucchila Sri Mahalaxmi temple visits will be covered.
“We had excellent response from public for our Mangaluru Dasara package. From October 21 to 31 one day tour was organized for various place in Mangaluru, Udupi and Kundapur. We got good response for Puttur and Madikeri packages too. KSRTC earned revenue of Rs 13.10 lac during Dasara by running 119 buses,” he said.
