B'lore: HC Reserves Orders on Bellary Medical College PGET Issue

Bangalore, May 25 (PTI) The Karnataka High Court today reserved judgement for tomorrow on allegations of malpractice by nine students who had attended the medical Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) at Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences in Bellary.

Earlier, the state government as per the directions of the court, had submitted the enquiry report and also the seat matrix for the final counselling before Justice B S Patil.

The court had yesterday observed there was no "strong evidence" in the report to suggest malpractice and that the matter could be referred to the CBI if the state government was unable to conduct a proper investigation.

When the matter came up today, the court reserved its judgement on the matter to tomorrow.
