Puttur: St Philomena PU college holds Christmas get-together celebration

Puttur, Dec 26: President Fr Stany Pinto, campus director, St Philomena Campus quoted Mahatma Gandhi's words, "Seven Deadly Sins: Wealth without work, Pleasure without conscience, Science without humanity, Knowledge without character, Politics without principle, Commerce without morality, Worship without sacrifice."

He said, "Jesus was named as Immanuel meaning God With Us. If God is with us then definitely we will take a complete form."

The chief guest, Dr Antony Prakash Montheiro, principal, St Philomena College said, "Today, we have lost the sense of humanity and the sense of being real. Jesus , the son of God reminds us to develop humanity inorder to become a successful human beings."

The guest of honour, Mamachan M, president, parent teacher association said, "Whenever virtue subsides and wickedness prevails, God takes birth to destroy evil and to save the world."

Parent teacher association members were present on the occasion.

Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, principal, St Philomena PU college, Puttur welcomed the gathering. Sathyalatha Rai M, department of English proposed a vote of thanks. Suma P R, department of English compered the programme.
