Udupi: Senior citizen on scooter dies in truck-two-wheeler collision

Udupi, Dec 30: A man, who was riding his scooter dies as his two wheeler was hit by a truck at Chara Basti Cross near Hebri in the district on Thursday December 29.

The deceased is identified as Chara Hergal Bhaskar Shetty (74). The truck was moving from Hebri to Kundapur. As the truck hit Shetty’s scooter, he fell and the rear wheels of the truck went over him, killing him instantly.

Truck driver has also sustained injuries in the accident. Shetty was a progressive farmer and is survived by wife, two sons and two daughters.

A case in this connection is registered in Hebri police station.
