Mangaluru: MSNIM organises ‘Sampark Gala Night – Alumni Meet’

Mangaluru, Dec 30: Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM) organised Sampark Gala Night—Alumni Meet on Friday, December 23 at the institute campus in Bondel. The objective of the meet was to bring together the alumni of all batches and also to felicitate the rank holders of the previous year.

Film actor Swaraj Shetty of ‘Kantara’ fame was the chief guest. Manel Annappa Nayak, the president of the Women’s National Education Society (WNES), presided over the function and was joined by the institute director, Dr Molly S Chaudhuri, and Nanditha Sunil, assistant professor and an alumnus of the institution. In his address, Swaraj Shetty shared his personal experiences and spoke on the importance of having big dreams and the journey of achieving those dreams.

During the function, Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, the past-president of WNES, was felicitated by the dignitaries for his long service of 24 years as President of the Women’s National Education Society. Following this, Swaraj Shetty, was felicitated for his contribution to the Tulu drama and film industries. Shivani Suvarna, an alumnus of the college from the 22nd batch, was also felicitated for securing the 3rd rank in Mangalore University exams.

Dr Manel Arjun Nayak, assistant secretary, and B Ganesh Krishna Bhat, member of WNES, were present on the occasion.

The coordinator of the programme, Nanditha Sunil, welcomed the gathering and introduced Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy. K Arpitha Nayak, a student, introduced Swaraj Shetty. Akshaya B Rao introduced the rank winner Shivani Suvarna. Ruthvi Vasant Kumar Patel, an alumnus, gave a vote of thanks. Sneha was the master of ceremonies. The formal event was followed by fun, games and entertainment programmes by the students.
