Mangalore: St Christopher's Association Distributes Books to Children

Mangalore, May 29: A function was arranged on Thursday May 26 under the auspices of St Christopher’s Association, Mangalore, during which books were distributed to the children of the association members. 

Lancy D’Cunha, general secretary, All India Catholic Union was the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, D'Cunhaemphasized that it is not enough if children attain higher degrees, they should also try to secure government jobs. It is our fortune that in the city there are good number of people who come forward to help the children to pursue their studies.

Parish priest of Rosario Church, Fr Stany Goveas exhorted the children to study hard in order to achieve their goal.

The president of the association, Sushil Noronha called upon the children to inculcate in them the qualities of their role models in the society. Secretary Victor Menezes proposed the vote of thanks.

The office -earers and members of the Managing Committee of the association were present on the occasion.
