Mangaluru: Student riding pillion killed in bus-two wheeler collision

Mangaluru, Jan 3: A ninth grade student lost his life, as the two wheeler on which he was riding pillion was hit by a bus at Ullanje near Kateel.

The deceased is identified as Charan (14), a resident of Ullanje school vicinity. He was studying in Kateel school. On Monday evening, Charan stopped a two-wheeler that was going towards Kinnigoli asked for a lift. As he was riding pillion on the two-wheeler, the bus that was coming from Kinnigoli to Kateel hit the scooter near Jumadi Gudde of Ullanje.

Charan was thrown to the road and came under the wheels of the bus, while the rider was thrown to the left side and survived. Traffic on the road was jammed for more than an hour.

Charan is survived by parents, sister and brother. His father Ganesh works at a mill at Kinnigoli. Post mortem of the mortal remains of Charan was carried out at Mulky government hospital.

    Life of Innocent RIP... Just ban the license of bus. And hang the driver ...careless bus driver are driving as if they are in comptetion. Now we're is the RTO.
