US Gives Pakistan 'Most-wanted' List

Islamabad, May 28 (IANS) The US has given Pakistan a list of terrorists - including Al Qaeda deputy Ayman al Zawahiri and HuJI chief Ilyas Kashmiri - saying it wants joint operations against them, a media report said Saturday.

Besides al Zawahiri and Kashmiri, the list includes Siraj Haqqani of the Haqqani network, and Atiya Abdel Rahman, Al Qaeda operations chief, the News International reported citing US media.

The list was reportedly discussed during separate meetings between senior Pakistani and US officials in the past two weeks, including Friday in Islamabad with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to officials.

The US was optimistic that Pakistan would provide intelligence on the wanted terrorists for prompt and joint action against them.

An American newspaper reported that the US believes all these wanted militants were present in Pakistan.
