Mangaluru, Jan 5: Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner Ravi Kumar M R released the final list of voters on Thursday, January 5.
Dakshina Kannada district has a population of 23,57,852 out of which 17,37,688 of them will exercise their franchise. There are 8,50,552 males, 8,87060 female and 76 transgenders who are eligible to vote.
Mangaluru North has the highest number of voters at 2,42,186 and Sullia has the least number with 201976 voters.
This year, a total of 47,174 will be voting for the first time.18,441 voters have been left out from the electoral list and 18,678 voters have either changed their constituency or moved to some other district.
There are 25259 young voters in Dakshina Kannada district, 17,706 of them are disabled, 6,392 of them are VVIPs, 546 service voters and 225 NRI voters.
