Mangaluru: Government First Grade College Kavoor organizes talk on Cyber Security

Mangaluru, Jan 6: IQAC of GFGC Kavoor organised a resourceful Talk on Cyber Security for all the students of the college.

The precautions to be taken, kind of cyber-attacks and prevention against the same was discussed at length by Elroy Monis, senior manager and faculty, Staff Training College, Karnataka Bank Limited.

It was an eye opening session for the college students as many were not aware of the ill effects of cyber and information thefts and frauds.

Terms like Man-in-the-Middle(MITM) attack, SQL injection, Ransonware, Phishing, Swishing and Wishing, Malwares, Trojans, and so on were new terms discussed and understood by students. It was overall a resourceful session and students enjoyed and benefited out of it.

Rekha S N, dept of English welcomed the gathering, Dr Shivarama P, principal presided over the session and Mamatha, IQAC co-coordinator, Dr Geetha M L, dept of Commerce, Amruthakshi G, dept of Kannada, Suchetha D, dept of History, Dr Sandhya, dept of Hindi were present. The programme was coordinated by Louis Manoj, IQAC coordinator of the college.
