Mangaluru, Jan 7: “BJP is indulging in politics after making viral the photo of MLA U T Khader in the company of the father of student Rihan Shaikh who is in the custody of NIA. It is an attempt to spoil his name when the elections are approaching. Let NIA conduct an impartial probe and punish the guilty,” said Ullal block Congress president Sadashiva Ullal.

Speaking at a news conference held in the Thokkottu block Congress office, he said there is no connection between the father of the student and U T Khader. “Clicking the photos while being in the public sphere is normal. Imagining links for everything is the habit of BJP. Even though photos of BJP leaders in the company of the accused become public where bundles of cash are exchanged, they do not react.”

“There is no need for Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat to act like an NIA officer. The officials will themselves give details after conducting an impartial probe. Though there is proof of Bhat’s involvement in scams, he does not admit it. Congress knows how to retrieve the history of Raghupathi Bhat. Congress condemns politics over the photo of U T Khader with the father of the student in NIA custody,” he said.
