Byndoor, Jan 9: “Wealth, status and fame will not serve us during our end times. Social service and helping others are the only ways of our life,” said Prabhulinga Kavalikatti, deputy commissioner of Uttara Kannada district.

Prabhulinga spoke after inaugurating the NRI forum mobile clinic in the event that was held at Gote M M Resort. He further said, “Only when health and education are in proper state, a good society can be built. During Covid, saving one’s life itself was an adventure. It is really appreciable that Coastal Karnataka NRI Forum is providing health services to the poor through mobile clinic scheme.”

Manegar Miran Saheb, chief sponsor of Shiroor Association did the introductory speech.

Mohammed Yunus Kazia, president of Karnataka NRI Forum presided over the function. Ameen Saifullah, general secretary, Mamatha Devi, assistant commissioner of Bhatkal, Dr Hassan, trustee of Greenvalley organization, Dr Savitha Kamath, medical officer of Bhatkal taluk hospital and Inayithullah Shabadri were present.

Journalist Arun Kumar Shiroor welcomed the gathering. Mousin rendered vote of thanks.
