Mangalore, May 29: A farewell function was organised for Fr Andrew L D'Souza, priest, St Joseph's parish, Jeppu, on Saturday May 28 under the aegis of various organizations.
Fr D'Souza served Jeppu parish for three years and has assumed charge as parish priest of St Jude parish, Pakshikere.
St Joseph Seminary rector Fr Joseph Martis felicitated Fr D'Souza and present parish priest Fr Nelson D'Almeida presented a memento him on the occasion.
Jeppu parish council vice-president Pamila Sanctos read the felicitation letter.
Meena Rebimbus, wife of legendary Konkani singer Wilfy Rebimbus, sang the farewell song during the programme.
Cultural programmes were held before the stage programme performed by various organizations of Jeppu parish.
Lilly Miranda compered the programme. Jeppu parish council secretary Laveena proposed the vote of thanks.
