Alland (Kalburgi), Jan 9: JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy on Monday demanded a probe by a sitting judge of the State High Court into the alleged transfer deals carried out by Santro Ravi.

Speaking at Alland in Kalaburgi district at the Pancharatna Yatra, Kumaraswamy said he had not claimed that note counting machines were in Home Minister Araga Jnanendra’s residence but insisted that the bribes collected by Santro Ravi and where the counting was done must be investigated.

“I am not saying Home Minister taking photos with Santro Ravi is wrong. But Santro Ravi’s illegal deals must be probed. The Home Department is duty-bound to investigate," he said.

Kumaraswamy said the alleged audio-video of Santro Ravi with State DGP and his claims that he is one to one with and his claims that the Chief Minister addresses him as “Sir,” is far more serious than even terrorism.

“Can the Home Department probe all these things? Nothing less than a probe by the sitting judge of high court can bring out the truth,” the JD(S) leader said.

He also pointed out that Santro Ravi is involved in the transfers of police officers and will these indebted officers do justice is doubtful.

As for Congress former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah planning to contest the assembly polls from Kolar, Kumaraswamy said he had already said this four months ago. “Siddaramaiah did nothing for the development of backward Kolar and now promising improvements after the polls? Will the people fall for these false promises,” he asked.
