Udupi: Three-day women entrepreneur marketing fair 'Power Parba 23' inaugurated

Udupi, Jan 13: A three-day women entrepreneur marketing fair 'Power Parba 2023' kickstarted on Friday, January 13 herein Beedinagudde Mahatma Gandhi grounds. Dr Kalpana Gopalan, former additional chief secretary, government of Karnataka inaugurated the fourth edition of 'Power Parba'.

Addressing the gathering, Raghupathi Bhat, MLA Udupi said, “This is a very unique programme where women show their real power. Through this fair Power has shown its real power. Our district is celebrating its silver jubilee. Udupi has the highest number of women voters in the entire state. We even have a woman member of Parliament. It is proven that women are able to successfully host any programme. This fair should be a model to Karnataka state and should inspire women entrepreneurs of other parts as well. I have witnessed that homemaker women have also set up small industries, which is very much appreciable.”

Shruthi, assistant joint director, MSME inaugurated the stalls. More than 60 stalls of various women entrepreneurs are set up in the exhibition-cum-sale fair. The exhibition will be open from 9 am to 9 pm.

The fair will be held for three days till January 15, 2023.

Dr H T Vasappa, DGM and regional head Union Bank of India regional office Udupi, Dr A P Achar, CEO, Atal Incubation Center, NITTE, Poornima, assistant director, department of Kannada and culture, Poonam Shetty, president, Power, Archana Rao, secretary, Trupti Nayak, joint secretary, Pratibha Ravi, treasurer, Shilpa Shetty, event coordinator and Deena Prabhakar, organising secretary were present on the occasion.
