Kundapur, Jan 18: A woman, who was travelling from Panaji in Goa to Irodi in Sastan lost golden ornaments worth Rs 20 lac. It is suspected that a Hindi speaking gang stole the valuables.

Sangeetha Bhat, resident of Irodi, is the woman who lost the golden ornaments. On December 24, she was travelling from Panaji to Puttur in a KSRTC bus. Sangeetha kept her clothes and a small cotton bag containing golden ornaments in a trolley bag and had locked the same and kept it below the seat where she was sitting.

After reaching Mabukala, her native place, Sangeetha got down and reached home. She was shocked to see that the cotton bag containing golden ornaments was missing from the trolley bag. In her complaint she has expressed suspicion over two Hindi speaking men who were sitting on the seat behind her.

There was no clarity with regards to the place where the theft has taken place. So Sangeetha had a tough time as she did not know in which police station she should file complaint. At last she approached the court and as per the direction of the court, a complaint is filed in Kota police station. Station officer Madhu is investigating further.

I still dont understand these women carrying so much gold on buses and not aware who stolen them .Why carry so much gold? You can travel safely and without much worry without gold. When then for the time being keep it in Bank and travel. There are these people who always watch women for the worthy things .They are professionals. They dont travel to visit a temple but to make big treasure. If you have a insurance may get something .Otherwise gone is the case.Venkataramana Devare neene nodiko. Its very painful .
