Ghaziabad Residents Protest Against Poor Facilities

Ghaziabad, Jun 2 (IANS): The federation of resident welfare associations of Ghaziabad Wednesday protested against the poor civic amenities in the city and the municipal corporation's lax attitude towards such issues.

In a meeting with municipal and Ghaziabad Development Authority officers, federation chairman Tejendra Pal Singh Tyagi said the residents had decided to collect house tax cheques in the name of the corporation but give them to the civic agency only when the commensurate services are provided, a representative said.

The federation also protested against alleged collusion between municipal corporation officials and unscrupulous builders.
