Udupi: Forest officials rescue injured deer at Parkala

Udupi, Jan 18: A deer was found injured near Ganapathi math, Herga, Parkala in the fields belonging to Vittal Shetty. The deer which was frightened, entered a cow shed for protection when dogs chased it. It had an injury on its right leg which was swollen and bleeding.

Locals Diwaker Shetty, Shubhaker Shetty, Vignesh Kedilaya, Vikram Kedilaya, Gunapala Shetty and others helped in its rescue operation. Officials said that the deer may be 3-4 years old.

Forest department officials visited the spot and shifted it safely to the T Park, Badagubettu for further treatment on the advice of veterinary doctor Dr Prashanth Shetty.
