Mangaluru, Jan 18: Srinivas University felicitated Dr Virar Shankar B Shetty president, Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Maharashtra on January 16, at Srinivas University Mukka Campus.

"How much I need in the life god has given to me. But I feel who has an education is the richest person. So, starting an educational institution and serving society is the praise able work by Dr CA A Ragavendra Rao," said Dr Virar Shankar B Shetty after receiving the felicitation.

Vice president of A Shama Rao Foundation and pro-chancellor of Srinivas University Dr A Srinivas Rao in his welcome speech praised Dr Virar Shankar B Shetty as a Role model for a successful career. With a lot of effort and hard work, he becomes the owner of 12 hotels. So, he is an inspiration to the young generation.

Chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao presided over the programme. "We need experience for development. Dr Virar Shankar B Shetty experience we need for our student’s development and that trust I have and it needed everyone’s support," he said.

Director of Srinivas Yoga Sanskrit Studies and Research Centre Dr Gopala Achar said, "Literature should be read to evolve in life. Disparaging literature should be avoided. When the God-given power is honestly used for study, God’s power comes together with the development of the individual.

Vice Chancellor of Srinivas University Dr P S Aithal read the citation. Srinivas University Development registrar Dr Ajay Kumar briefly introduced Srinivas University, Evaluation Registrar Dr Srinivas Mayya delivered the vote of thanks and professor Shreenath Rao K led the MC. Principals and deans of different departments and colleges were present at the occasion.
