Kundapur, Jan 18: "The well-equipped airconditioned Mogaveera Bhavan constructed at Chickensal road as a symbol of Mogaveera Samaja will be inaugurated on January 22,” said Dr G Shankar, leader of Mogaveera Samaja and promoter of Udupi G Shankar Family trust.
“The building with an area of 60, 000 sq ft constructed at a cost of more than Rs 10 crore has three floors. As many as 850 people can watch programmes at a time in the auditorium. It has a wide corridor and dining hall where 450 people can have meals sitting. It also has a modern kitchen, separate vessels and kitchen for non-vegetarian food and several other modern facilities,” he said.
“The basement and the first floor are reserved to park vehicles. In all, 80 cars can be parked in the basement. Vehicles can also be parked on the sides and in the front. As much as 28 cents of land has been bought for a parking area in the future. The construction was delayed because of the Corona pandemic.”
“Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary will inaugurate the Bhavana, minister Angara the Mahishamardini auditorium, minister Sunil the Amma Mini Hall, MP B Y Raghavendra the dining hall, union minister Shobha the office, MLA Haladi Srinivas Shetty the lift, Byndoor MLA B M Sukumar Shetty the kitchen and Mogaveera Mahajana Sangha Mumbai honorary president Suresh R Anchan will inaugurate the Dr G Shankar auditorium,” he said.
“K Jayaprakash Hegde, Manjunath Bhandary, K Pratapchandra Shetty, Yashpal Suvarna, former minister Pramod Madhwaraj, entrepreneur Anand C Kunder, former MLA K Gopala Poojary, Veena Bhasker Mendon, Jaya C Kotian, Gopala S Putran, Dr Umesh Putran, Sathish Ameen, Rajendra Hiriadka and municipal council chief officer Manjunath will take part,” he said.
