Vijyaapura: Don’t donate to temple, help needy instead – Pejawar Math Seer

Daijiworld Media Network – Vijayapura (MS)

Vijayapura, Jan 18: Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji, seer of Pejawar Math said that instead of donating to temples, needy should be served.

Speaking to reporters, Swamiji said, “Many reports are published about the misuse of donations given to temples. So the best way to prevent this is by stopping donations to the temples and using the money for the welfare of the people directly. If the public has the capacity to construct even a small house for the poor, it should be done.”

Responding to the question of what achievement is done by building Ram Mandir at Ayodhya by critics, Swamiji said, “I will tell the administrative committee of Ram Mandir to start a campaign for the needy before the next Ram Navami.

“Society should be cleansed every now and then. Maths and political parties should not indulge in discrimination. If we are right, everything will be fine. Devotion towards God and nation are the same. Let us serve in the name of Lord Sri Ram. Let us start, Ram’s service is a service to nation' campaign by the next Ram Navami. I will write a letter to PM Modi in this regard," he said.

“Once upon a time, building Ram Mandir was a dream. Now in addition to Ram Mandir, the dream of Ram Rajya should be realized. Study about Ramayana needs to be undertaken.
Backward community should be helped in any form. The application for uploading the welfare schemes of the government should be developed. This mammoth campaign will silence the critics of Ram Mandir," the seer opined.

“People should take up pro-society works in the name of Lord Ram. If commoners can work for the society, why not the rich and affluent politicians?,” Swamiji questioned.

I am confused by the mention of "Maths" in this article. Was he (also) suggesting that the "maths" (aka calculations) for "time machines" is too difficult and "seers" are all that exist in "real life"? Or was he hinting that the difficult calculations for "time machines" have indeed been done and "time machines" is what they have and they are simply pretending to be "seers"? By the way, I only decided to look up "Ram Mandir" articles after seeing mention of "seers" in plot summary of an episode of the TV show "Dark Matter". I remembered seeing mention of "seers" in an article about "Ram Mandir" long ago in one of the many "desi fake news media" websites.

Why do humans need a swami, priest, mullah etc etc to tell them whom to donate? Why doesn’t a human decide for himself what is right and what is more important in life. It’s written in every scripture that helping poor is like serving God. So gents and ladies decide for yourself. Which is more important. These religious leaders and political leaders only make statements for publicity sake.

These are the Golden Words from Swamiji..... what God gave us should not be returned to him... instead must be shared with those who do not have. All religions should follow this.

Many of the temples offer free meals. Helping the poor is a good cause. Help should be in the way to bring them up to stand on they are own foot and become independent. Poor should not always remain poor. Providing education to poor children, help them find jobs are some ways.

Good thoughts and noble concern. It is in poor people that we see God they say. But then we are also thought saying " give unto God what is due to God & give unto the king what is due to the King " But we have always preferred to give anything to the poor and deserving directly, so you know the deserving get the benefits of your goodwill. Sensible suggestion Swamiji. Thank you, because it means a lot to hear from people like you

Everyone knows but everyone does the same thing... people give to God mostly out of fear or greed.... few have earnest motives of better health and survival... Middlemen like Swamiji. Parish priests and trustees act as if they are gods themselves... This has been the vogue from time immemorial... One Swamiji's half words can not change the indelible truth of beliefs and blind beliefs...

The problem is not with donations .. The donated money can be used for development of temple infrastructure including free meals and medical facilities for the needy. There should be regular audit of the Funds received and its deployment for public good.

Dear Swamiji ,I find donation to the temple is ok.because with this money you are giving free meal to the people .That requires too money ,doesnt fall from above..Of course there are people who misuse the money too .One cant help. This delima is everywhere ,in temples churches or Mashids too we are all humans .Some fall to this easily.Even some goes to govt.and govt.profits from it Govt gives it to Public schools or hospitals .It is a kreis means goes round .Dont think of it.Even helping needy is not better. Not all needy take it and use too. Some may think you get it so give it too.But let God see what you do and use it so do as you think and give it as you did it till now.Let one speak what they want.

Dont pretend as if you dont know.. Almost all big temples do it even for non-Hndu schools. but then itis your nature to downplay charity of others, bcz it dents your fake reputation.

Temples give food to all without discrimination....They dont ask money. But, though our churches are very rich, richer than temples they never give food except one or two during their feast time. Otherwise, only you have to give money for this and that and for hundreds of reasons.....
