Mangaluru, Jan 19: “The police department and the district administration should defeat the sand mafia, drug mafia, skill games, video games etc. immediately,” said DYFI district president B K Imtiaz. He was speaking in the protests against the police held in the leadership of DYFI district committee today.
DYFI district secretary Santhosh Bajal said that there are allegations that the police department is allowing crimes. “The police commissioner should answer them,” he said.
DYFI district leaders Rafik Harekala, Nithin Kuthar, Asha Boloor, Srinath Katipalla, Pramila Devadiga, Sadik Kannur, Jagadish Bajal, Rihab Tayyub Bengre, traders' leader Mustafa Kallakatte, Asif and others were present. DYFI city president Navin Konchady welcomed. District treasurer Manoj Vamanjoor rendered a vote of thanks.
