Mangaluru: NIA announces reward on two more accused in Praveen Nettaru murder case

Mangaluru, Jan 20: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a cash prize of Rs 5 lac for helping the agency find the whereabouts of two more accused in the murder case of BJP Yuva Morcha leader Praveen Nettaru. Mohammed Sharif and Masood have been identified as accused in the murder case.

Mohammed Sharif, a resident of Kodaje in Bantwal taluk, who has gone into hiding is an executive committee member of the banned outfit PFI while Masood hails from Nekkilady near Uppinangady.

Earlier, the NIA had announced a prize of Rs 14 lac to help find the four accused in the murder case.

Mustafa and Tufail, residents of Bellare Boodumane in Sullia taluk and Guddige in Madikeri respectively, carry a prize of Rs 5 lac each. Umar Farooq and Abubaker, residents of Kallumutlu and Bellare in Sullia respectively carry a prize of Rs 2 lac each. All the four accused who belong to the PFI are yet to be traced.

On July 26, 2022, BJP Yuva Morcha leader Praveen Nettaru was killed in Shivamogga.
