Vijayapura: 'I don't like science subject', says student in her suicide note


Vijayapura, Jan 24 (IANS): An incident of a girl student ending her life for not liking the science subject came to light on Tuesday in Karnataka's Viayapura district.

The deceased student has been identified as a 17-year-old. According to police, Padmavathi, a resident of Komalapoora in Lingasugur taluk was studying in a private college in Nagarabetta.

The student had hanged herself in the bathroom. When she did not come out for long, the students and staff peeped inside and informed the police.

The police have recovered a death note from the deceased, which stated that, "My apologies. I don't like the science subject and hence ending my life."

The incident had taken place on Monday.

The Muddebihal police, who have taken up the investigations are gathering information on what exactly led the girl to take the extreme decision.

    Very sad .These days students are simply suicide for small things too .Because she doesnt like science is it a cause to suicide ?If so I should have suicide long ago:In high school I couldnt understand science .Thats why instead of PCM I had chosen general maths inclusive social studies.My Thanthri Master was telling me ,chemistry is a mystery to you isnt ?True ,It was but succeded to get enough points to pass.She could have chosen other subject.or .Or she took it because of her Parents were making pressure to take?May her soul rest in peace.Please students when you find problems with any subject ask someone to help or try to change it.Not everyone is Genie.Accept your problems .
