Mangaluru: Mount Carmel School primary section celebrates Republic Day with solemnity

Mangaluru, Jan 25: The kindergarten and primary students of Mount Carmel Central School celebrated India’s 74th Republic Day with solemnity and pride on January 25. The students of grade I A, B and C took privilege in celebrating the spirit of unity in India.

The programme commenced with a prayer song, praying for the country. The highlights of the day were the patriotic dances which transported the audience to the era of freedom struggle. 

The students presented a skit in a very meaningful manner depicting one of the rights from the Indian Constitution – education. The significance of the day was very well articulated by the students.

The chief guest, teacher Reshma Fernandes in her message spoke on the primary knowledge of constitution and urged students to be respectful, responsible and law abiding citizens of India. The students performed with passion and perfection a tribute to the Republic India, whose constitution is the world’s longest for a sovereign nation.
