Ramdev Fast a Political Conspiracy: Bukhari

New Delhi, June 4 (IANS) Criticising yoga guru Baba Ramdev's fast against corruption as a "political conspiracy", Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid Syed Ahmed Bukhari Saturday said "communalism is a bigger issue than corruption".

"People who raise this issue of corruption are also not clean. The issue of communalism is much bigger in the country," Bukhari told IANS.

"Corruption is a problem, but the communalism is a bigger threat to the country," he added.

"It is a conspiracy involving by the parties such as Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress.

"Congress is trying to woo Ramdev. Muslim population of this country are begging for their rights since last 63 years, but nobody cares," Bukhari said.

    Pastor E.W.Frank,Udupi, and JN Lobo, Mumbai, both commented in sensibly.Here problem is timing and issues which are in complex nature and virtually there is no solution instantly.Baba Ramdev's all demands except Black money retrieval is debatable and need to bring all political parties @ one platform.Thus it needs intensive deliberations.

    Absolutely right. It is a political conspiracy. Opposition parties and communal organizations trying to destabilize the elected government and the nation. Some people do not understand the implications of yoga guru's demands. The Govt just cannot pass ordinances as per his whims. Both Houses of the Parliament have to approve these demands.
    There should be a thorough investigation how Baba Ramdev made an empire of several thousand crores and also purchased an island in Europe within a few years of teaching yoga . All that money comes to him as donations within India and abroad cleared of income tax?
    The fast itself is a five-star farce. Who is funding this 'mela' at Ramlila grounds and fasting centers put up throughout the country? How many crores are spent and how much black money is involved in it?
    It was said that no one from political parties will be allowed to come near then what Sadhvi Ritambara, the front runner at Babri Masjid demolition, doing on the stage?

    Dear Mr. Bukhari:

    You have told the truth by experience. After BJP was installed in India, communalism has grown rapidly and corruption is outragious. What Congress made in 60 years, BJP outclassed in five years of their rule as far is money is concerned. Our Karnataka BJP government is a threat to our economy. CM only knows to give in crores to temples, the people's money. For an eye wash now he d 50 crores rupees to Christians. He is a wolf with sheep's clothing. Unless this Karnataka government falls poor people and minorities will suffer to the utmost. I pray God to bring a revolution in Karnataka and also in India. Better to have a Army Government for ten years. People should not be attracted to politicians offer of money and liquor. Enough is enough let our people be smart to choose a government who will care for the people. Let us be all united and work together for the development of our Nation.
