Bantwal: Mithun, only Kannadiga from Coast Guard to take part in R-Day parade

Bantwal, Jan 26: Mithun Kumar, a native of Sera near Mani in the taluk, who is serving in Indian Coast Guard is taking part in the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. He is the only Kannadiaga from Coast Guard, who will take part in the march past this year.

Mithun has been serving in the coast guard for the past four years. The coast guard team which is taking part in the RD parade had 144 members and Mithun is one of them.

At present, Mithun is serving at Visakhapatnam and is selected to take part in the march past on his excellent marching skills. Training was given from November 1 at Noida and in January final training was done at Karthavya Path at New Delhi.

Mithun Kumar is the son of the late Krishnappa Poojary and late Bharati couple. He had completed his education in institutions of Sera, Mani, Modankap and Valachil.
