Udupi: CM releases silver jubilee celebrations logo of journalists' association

Udupi, Jan 27: Chief minister Basavaraja Bommai released the new logo of silver jubilee celebrations of the working journalists association in the district at Karkala taluk sports grounds on Friday, January 27.

The chief minister said that both the Udupi district and the district working journalists association are celebrating silver jubilee this year. “The sincere work of the journalists for the growth of the district is commendable,” he said.

"The government will provide necessary help for the welfare fund meant for the health of the journalists. May the work proceed successfully," he said.
Silver Jubilee Committee convener Mohammed Sharif Karkala, chief secretary Jayakara Suvarna, treasurer Umesh Marpalli, association chief secretary Nazir Polya, state committee member Kiran Manjanabailu, Karkala taluk journalists' association president Ganesh Nayak, secretary Harish Acharya and Astro Mohan were present. Silver jubilee committee joint secretary Deepak Jain welcomed and compered the programme.

State minister for energy, Kannada and culture V Sunil Kumar, minister of fisheries, ports, inland water transport and Udupi district in-charge S Angara, Coastal Development Authority former president Mattar Rathnaker Hegde, The Mysore Electric Industries Limited president K Udaya Kumar Shetty, deputy commissioner Kurma Rao M, zilla panchayat chief executive Prasanna H, State Cashew Development Board President Maniraj Shetty, SP Hakay Akshay Machindra and probationary IAS office Yathish were present.
