Udupi, Jan 30: Canara Bank circle office, Manipal organised a Swacchata Pakhwada campaign on January 29. The main theme of the campaign was to discourage the use of single-use plastics and to avoid throwing of waste materials in the open area in and around the city.

Canara Bank employees and their family members took a march around the city to spread awareness on cleanliness. Rama Naik K, general manager Canara Bank, delivered the keynote address and highlighted the importance of cleanliness and role of Canara Bank in improving the health conditions of the residents by keeping the city clean. DGM Satyanarayana, Mini, H K Gangadhar were present. K Ramesh Pai, AGM organised the campaign.

Canara Bank is committed to the clean and green initiative of ‘Clean India Green India’ and regularly conducts Swacchata campaigns to contribute to a cleaner society and country. The successful Swacchata Pakhwada 2023 was a testament to this commitment.
