Mangaluru: Srinivas University's Institute of Allied Health Sciences holds Freshers' Day

Mangaluru, Jan 30: With the blessings of A Shama Rao, founder of Srinivas University, under the guidance of Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, honourable chancellor of Srinivas University and Dr A Srinivas Rao, honourable pro chancellor of Srinivas University, Institute of Allied Health Sciences (IAHS), Srinivas University, Mukka organized Freshers' Day themed 'Hola Amigoz' on January 28 in SIDS College Ground, Mukka.

The guests of honour for the day were Dr Anil Kumar, registrar, Srinivas University, Dr K. Reshma Pai, dean, Srinivas Institute of Dental Sciences, Prof Pavana Krishnamoorthy, dean, IAHS and Dr Beena H B, dean, IAHS.

The programme started with a prayer song sung by the students. The inauguration was done by lighting the traditional lamp by the guest and the dignitaries. The welcome address was given by Prof Pavana Krishnamoorthy, dean, IAHS.

The formal function was followed by dance and several other programmes were conducted by senior students and IAHS staff. The faculty introduction was given to the students.

The vote of thanks was given by Naveen Bappanadu, assistant professor, department of MLT. The teaching, non-teaching staff and IAHS students (new batch and senior batches) were a part of the celebration.
