Kasargod: Excise department officials seize 30 kilos of ganja, one held

Kasargod, Jan 30: The Kasargod excise department officials have seized 30 kilos of ganja that was hidden in a house under construction at Miyapadav, Manjeshwara and an accused was arrested in this connection. The officials have also confiscated a car.

The arrested accused is identified as Mustafa (26), a resident of Kulur in Miyapadav. Fake number plates have also been seized from the car recovered.

The raid was conducted on a definite tip off. Ganja was stored on the second floor of the house. About one quintal of ganja was stored and sold. The excise department officials have information that more ganja has been kept under wraps.

Investigations to find the rest of the ganja and the accused are in progress.
