PG Medical College Admissions in 50% Quota Stayed

Kochi, Jun 7 (PTI): The Kerala High Court today stayed Post Graduate admissions made by eight Self Financing Medical Colleges in the 50 per cent quota earmarked for state merit list.

Justice P R Ramachandra Menon granted stay on a petition by Dr Pournami Mohan and two others, who contended that these colleges were arbitarily giving merit seat admissions without following MCI regulations.

They also sought a direction to declare as illegal any admissions made by these colleges in the 50 per cent quota and action against these colleges for reportedly violating conditions of affiliation.
