Brahmavar: Rs 7.26 lac worth gold ornaments stolen from parked car

Brahmavar, Feb 3: Gold ornaments weighing 180.5 grams, worth Rs 7.26 lac, that were brought from bank locker in order to use for marriage, were reportedly stolen from a parked car.

Afreen Banu, a resident of Hoode, had kept the bag containing golden ornaments in her car when she was about to return to her home after finishing a marriage function at the house of relative at Honnala, close to her mother’s house.

Afreen returned to the car within 15 minutes after placing the bag containing ornaments in the vehicle as she went inside her mother’s house to have a cup of tea. After she returned home and opened the bag, the gold ornaments were missing.

A case in this regard is filed at Brahmavar police station.
