Udupi: Young realtor called out of Pangala temple, hacked to death

Udupi, Feb 5: A youth was hacked to death by a gang of miscreants in Pangala here on Sunday, February 5 evening.

The victim is identified as Sharath Shetty, a resident of Pangala. He was involved in real estate business.

The incident took place near Pangala Temple on National Highway 66.

Sharath Shetty was attending Bhootada Kola in the temple premises when the miscreants allegedly called him out.
Later, the gang, reportedly, attacked him with sharp weapons.

Sharath Shetty was admitted to a hospital in Udupi with grievous injuries and excessive bleeding. However, Sharath Shetty succumbed to the injuries.

Rivalry in real estate business has been suspected to be the cause of murder.

    Dr Kusuma Nellore these people know nothing about it and indulged only in crime and grudge.They dont know anything about peace and harmony.So they will also end same way which I find is ok.but sad .They must have born and brought up in this milleu and continue now further.

Perpetrators will be caught within no time but the case will drag and drag.... In the process guys will be glorified and absorbed into many more roles in the trade....     Majority of realty business has the involvement of powerful politicians and well organized, ruthless, underworld gangs who can go to any extent; hence, people involved in this business should be extra careful as you never know when a deal goes sour and you become the target of the gang!!
